We can often be reminded at times that we can be our own worst enemies. The only competition there truly is, is the competition you are in with yourself.
As we grow from children and learn to navigate the world, we pick up so many different things while learning about the world. We watch and learn from others while we grow, picking up beliefs that others have, but are not truly or entirely our own. Another term for this is called programming.
While growing up, we learned and picked up things from the education system, from others, our parents, siblings, friends, old friends, exes, certain events or experiences, etc. The way we have grown up and the people and experiences we have come across on our journey, can have and have had a profound impact on our belief system and beliefs about ourselves.
The problem with limited beliefs is that it can severely stunt our growth. Some of the most “successful” people aren’t the smartest, or the best, or even the richest, it‘s just the fact that they really believe in themselves. Everyone’s idea of success can look different. What is success to you?
Ask yourself what your goals are and be clear on what you truly want and where you’d like to be. Know that you can get there and don’t let your own mind put you down. Anytime you have a limited self thought or belief, tell yourself an affirmation or a positive thought to counteract it, or even think a positive thought 3x.
You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect for you to be happy, just start right now. Maybe you don’t have that person, career, or house that you’ve been wanting or striving for, but it doesn’t mean you can’t be happy or that you can’t start something new.
If you believe in yourself enough, you can get truly anything you want. Again, the greatest competition you will have, is the competition with yourself. If you can get yourself to do the things you really want to do, you will move in the direction you want to go and things can turn out better than you imagine. But it’s up to you, no one else can do it for you.
One of the greatest lessons I have learned is to stop looking in the future and just start right now. If you don’t know where to start, start with gratitude. Beside love, gratitude is one of the highest vibrational states we can be in. Give gratitude to yourself and also be thankful for the little and big things that you already have. The fact that you can breathe, you have eyes to see, be thankful for the big things, everything, just give gratitude towards it all. You have everything you need to be who you are meant to be, we just need to work on the self-limiting thoughts and beliefs that prevent our growth.
You can have a self-limiting belief and not even realize it. It’s just floating in the back of your subconscious because it hasn’t made itself known yet. We’ve been conditioned to believe that there is a certain way or certain things you need to do to get what you want. We as humans are so much more powerful than we could ever comprehend.
If we all knew the power we truly had, we would never have a worry in the world. It is time to awaken and tap into your power, believe in yourself, honor yourself, love yourself, and leave the self doubt behind. You are capable of ANYTHING so go for what you want and don’t let anyone or anything stop you, including yourself and your own mind. The light at the end of the tunnel is not an illusion, the tunnel is the illusion. Namaste.
